Real Number text and voice on PC without a phone.

There used to be options to subscribe to a SIP service for voice with SMS bridging using a real number, rather than a throw away one shared by countless free users. Now the few who do provide a real numnber all require you to install it on a phone first.

I'm looking for a service that offers stable numbers by subscription that works on Linux without linking to a phone via an app as the only Android device I still have is a LAN connected Lineage OS tablet withoiut Google Play Services.

I am also looking for something that does not slam "AI" and spyware into everything and simply gives me calls, or at least voicemail so I can call back from another line later, and texting without selling ads, rewriting my messages, or transcribing voicemails.
