  • Last Of Us 3 would be the only digital game I’d still buy for my PS5.

    For the rest, no disc, no buy as I’m moving to Steam/Gog anyway.

    I get 4 choices between text, date, hidden and 2FA. I chose text but it’s not so clear as the field is text and the element to fill too.

    It's the "Identification de l'utilisateur" part which is a problem, so I guess they still have to improve this.

  • Oh that’s not great as it would mean that I have to download the normal game through Heroic and download it a second time to get the offline installer.

    For a 50gb game, it means allocating around 100gb for it.

    Gog should clarify that situation a bit better.

  • I guess it’s the right place to ask even if it’s not really related to Sony and my move away from them.

    I download and install my GOG games through Heroic and then move them to a hard drive after I’m finished enjoying them.

    If GOG one day disappears, will I still be able to play the games that way or do I really have to separately download the offline installers which are separated in many files?

  • Yeah but at around 1 fps per second.

    Ps5 emulation will happen, but not before a few years.

    Still, it’s good as it means I’ll be able to fully leave that ecosystem that I used to love.

    I guess Sony might lose a lot of money at one point if they don’t release their games on PC since a few former Playstation players are in the process of moving to PC and not coming back.

  • Yeah for such things it’s quite difficult and I don’t want my kids to have to sacrifice anything or be the odd ones out if I don’t get informations.

    If I was still with their mom, I could have left her to check the Whatsapp part and be fully done with it, but since it’s not the case, I don’t want to miss anything, especially as it’s already hard to get all the informations since schools/sports club tend to think it’s okay to only information one separated parent.

    Whatsapp has almost an official role in some countries and that’s awful. Still I’m kind of seing a change in this lately..

  • I use the Whatsapp Business app which allows me to be added to groups that I can’t avoid (kid’s class groups, kid’s soccer groups and my wifés family group) and to have an automatic message for people writing to me privately saying I won’t answer except if they write to me on Threema, Signal, iMessage, SMS or email.

    With my own family and friends I only use Threema and Signal, even if I kind of lost or got further of some friends with my stance.

    Still, I already don’t have enough time for myself, so I’m not looking to have more friends.

    In my country, Whatsapp is almost everywhere, so I’m not don’t think I’ll be able to 100% leave it without sacrifizing some of my kids activities sadly..

  • I’ve noticed that Proton Pass is struggling with sites where you have a contract number, a password and a user ID.

    I really enjoyed the Mass Effect trilogy and would be interested if the game is cheap and runs well on a Steam Deck

  • That’s probably the only good part of the AI bubble. Now they have to optimize and think about doing more with the same hardware.

  • Well the achievements are saved on my PSN, GOG and Steam accounts. Exophase is just connecting to these services and lunking them together.

    I think it only works for retroachievements, where you have to download them and import them in Exophase.

  • I’ve never tried Cachy OS or played fifa lately, but I always test every possible situation before inviting people in front of one of my computers.

    That way, they only see a curated and tested version of the Linux world.

    But it’s not like I’ve converted anyone😅

  • Not yet but the games I wasn’t able to find on GOG are Killzone 2-3, Uncharted 1-3, God Of War 3 and GT5.

    If I remember well, some of these were reported as too demanding for the Deck last time I checked.

    And even if I could play them I’m too lazy/scared to install 10 plugins and I wouldn’t want to have a short battery life.

  • Looking forward to replaying some of the PS3 classics. Although for emulation I’ll probably have to wait until I get something more powerful than my Steam Deck.

    I’m in the process of selling all the physical Playstation 3 games that I managed to get for cheap on GOG, but the exlusives and others will have to be emulated.
