  • Right! Now that you mention it I remember seeing that in videos before (bending around hot pipe).Thanks that means I can build a much smaller steam box, very good news.

    Unfortunately the choice of wood is settled.

    I'm thinking of maybe splitting the thickness into 2 or 3 layers if it doesn't want to bend as is. Then steam bend them and once they've cooled down and settled, glue those layers together. I'd rather not have glue involved though, as I will later stain it and don't want to see glue lines.

  • Same, I wasn't that young though, late 20s early 30s.One time I was wiring a live plug (I know) and I got shocked though both arms and shoulders.That was quite the lesson

  • Some people get mad when u tell them not to shop on amazon, they talk about it being the only viable option for them since they live so far from actual stores and whatnot.

    This got me wondering how were these people feeding and clothing themselves 10 years ago? (Or before the advent of amazon grocery shopping, idk how long it's been and I'm very bad at keeping track of time).

    I'm genuinely curious about this, if someone has an answer please tell me.
