  • It looked more like mustard, actually. Tasted nothing like mustard though, not even amusement park mustard.

  • You can always install another DE: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/quick-docs/switching-desktop-environments/

And then you can remove KDE Plasma by running dnf remove @kde-desktop but I'd advice you to take a good look at the packages being removed and evaluate whether it'll remove anything critical. I'm not going to say this won't cause any issues, but you can always try it - just make backups beforehand.

EDIT: And just to be sure, look in to changing the display manager before removing the old one. It shouldn't be too difficult.

  • Unfortunately no, I didn't. I just took a photo because I found it pretty.

  • One time at an amusement park a gull shat on my french fries. Fuck them dinosaurs.

  • I was actually debating this myself. After posting I came up with Calocera viscosa as a possibility, but I don't know enough to say for certain. Thanks for the input, these are fascinatingly similar.

  • Barbute or kettle hat. I can't pick between the two.

  • I have a one book edition of The Lord of the Rings I bought over 20 years ago. Reading it can be uncomfortable for my hands, being a fairly hefty book and not the easiest to hold. To remedy this, I bought another edition that's divided into three books and also includes The Hobbit, just so it'd be easier for me to read. But because I'm a sentimental dumbass, I still occasionally pick up the older edition I've read many times, because I have affection for it. I love the green cover with a nice painting of Gandalf. Other than that, I don't think I have any book with multiple copies.

  • People really fail to understand what a truly colossal undertaking a site like YouTube is. It's a technological wonder that they are able to process that much data and serve it so efficiently. Hate YouTube all you want, I do, but the engineers at Google are fucking magicians.

  • Perfectly true. It would've been nice, if it wasn't so inherently abusable. We can't have nice things.

  • Oh, that's a great book! A heavy read for sure. A friend aptly called it 'nourishing', which is true of most Steinbeck. Just one of his books sates you for quite a while. I'm glad to hear you like it!

  • You sweet summer child, back in my day YouTube had a five star rating system and video response functionality.

  • I'm close to finishing The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. This month has been a bit rough in my personal life and I haven't, perhaps, been quite feeling it. Luckily, there's always next year.

    I don't know what I'll read next.

  • That's a lovely haul. How will you store them?

  • Clacton, do the right thing. Please, I beg of you. We can't afford any more joke candidates, put your vote in the Bin!

  • I also saw a snake. No badgers, though.

  • He didn't say that. Did he say that? He said that, didn't he.

The US has had some terrible Presidents, but fuck me sideways, this fucking guy. The man's functionally illiterate. Worse, he's profoundly dum.

  • Ikey has already left this project, if I understand correctly. Possibly due to issues in his personal life. The project seems to be going on ahead regardless, and his departure wasn't as critical as when he left Solus. Solus themselves are waiting for the AerynOS tooling to mature and then they'll migrate their distro to use those too.

AerynOS is still in alpha though, and not really ready for daily use. I'm glad to hear OP has had a positive experience, but the OS isn't something I'd recommend for your average user yet.

  • Better not, the salt is not good for their kidneys. Kidney failure is a pretty common cause of death in cats, sadly.
