  • Isn't it implied to be some kind of digital currency? Maybe it's like accepting Paypal where Paypal can decide to make you jump through hoops to access your money or cut off your access entirely for seemingly arbitrary reasons.

  • ...As an alternative to a streaming based solution. Given the context OP was not talking about just installing jellyfin, the fair comparison would be everything required to make it work.

  • Really creepy

  • Haven't tried tubeless but definitely can attest that sealant works very well with tubes also

  • You could check the whois for the domain, that should list the contact info of the website owner if available and also the abuse email for their domain registrar. You could also get its IP address and look that up which may show you the web host it is using which you could also submit a report to, that would probably be the fastest way to get it handled absent any way to contact the owner.

  • The dynamic graph neural network treats the cryptocurrency ecosystem as a constantly changing network, analysing transaction structures, money flows and their evolution over time.

    ...

The LLM then turns these complex signals into a natural-language risk assessment, producing not only a legal-or-illicit classification but also a risk score, key evidence and a reasoning chain.

So random people and whoever the police want are going to get accused of bitcoin money laundering based on LLM say-so, got it

  • Nofap propaganda mastermind strikes again

  • True, it would still be terrible if they followed the law, but it's worth noting if they don't even bother.

  • The article mentions some portion of the enslaved people having been detained by ICE, which doesn't seem like quite the same thing as having been duly convicted of a crime

  • It's a really weird claim that they don't exist when the first search result for "airless bike" is an amazon link with a large selection of airless mountain bike tires. Is he using a really restrictive definition of mountain bike tires? I looked into this when I moved somewhere I was getting constant tube punctures, but the general consensus seemed to be that they all just suck for various reasons. I ended up going with tire guards plus bike tubes with sealant, this combo seems to work very well, only need to replace the tubes once or twice a year despite multiple thorns getting stuck in the tires every day that would otherwise cause a flat.

  • I read mainly in bed (with my kobo) but finding it tricky and I am turning into a hunchback

I do the same but it's not uncomfortable or causes me to strain my back, I lay on my side and prop the ereader up with pillows

  • Used laptops on ebay are still decently cheap if price is the issue, lots of stuff in the $50-100 range

  • Does not seem to break openwebui at least

  • I actually like it when games do that sort of thing, keeps you on your toes, shoutout to Backpack Battles

  • This is referenced in the alt text, I looked it up:

    https://finance.yahoo.com/news/sbf-dangerous-decision-making-philosophy-124600175.html

Yet when asked exactly that in a March 2022 podcast with Tyler Cowen, Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) was quite willing to play that game–and keep playing it, over and over again. Cowen asked SBF about the high likelihood of destroying everything by going double of nothing on a series of coin flips. SBF responded that he was willing to make this trade-off for the possibility of coin-flipping his way into "an enormously valuable existence."

Fortunate that he went bust on only a few billion worth of stolen money and not the fate of humanity, though the same can't be said for the rest of the delusionally arrogant megalomaniacs running things

  • Imo in any situation where you are choosing risk/reward preferences it's important to consider how much different levels of reward will actually benefit your life. I think in most cases losing everything you own is going to be more bad than doubling your wealth is good, and so it's a bad idea to only consider the alpha of an investment. Or it could be the other way around, maybe someone desperately needs to escape their shitty job, so for them a very risky investment that actually has lower effective value than the safe investment is the more rational choice.

Which isn't to say discount EV entirely, that's how you end up at bad decisions like buying a lottery ticket.
