  • She makes an excellent point that an opening is being made on the left that's backdooring some truly horrible influencers into the hearts and minds of otherwise good people.

However the suggestion that we need to reach out to Zionists to mend that hole is... well it's nuts really.

There's a growing convergence out there and we should embrace it. People traditionally on the left and right of a two-party system that's been largely aligned in its support for evil are finally realising that there's a lot of things we agree on that're not supported by either party. The only way we get those things is to break the hold the old guard has on us.

  • It was surprisingly common, though due to the cost of buying tapes, it wasnt as common as it is now.

VHS tapes have this nifty feature where you could store video on it in 3 different formats. While the tape from the rental place was stored in the format that fit roughly 2hrs on a tape, you could record three 2hr movies to a tape if you used the lower quality EP format (I think that was the acronym).

This lead to people like my friend's dad keeping shelves of tapes with hastily scrawled labels on them for 3 different movies or 6 different episodes.

All you needed for any of this was 2 VCRs, which from the early 90s were pretty affordable.

  • Tow every last one.

  • Am I the only one that thinks it's a little silly to blog $2B on a hybrid when you can just run wires along the tracks and go full electric? Given that the grid clearly needs investment, you could expand its capacity and range at the same time with theoretically limited costs.

  • Well I'm not the site maintainer, but I'd argue that this would be fine. The question is about whether you're writing the code yourself: understanding what you're writing line by line rather than taking an "agent" to do the work, robbing you of that understanding.

Accepting criticism/review from a bot or a human for that matter wouldn't interfere with that understanding, so I'd argue that it doesn't apply.

There is however the ethical question of paying for such a bot, given that it's the product of massive IP theft and environmental arson. It probably doesn't apply to this specific declaration though.

  • It's always nice to see Greens following through on their promises.

  • I used to work with a guy who was so afraid of losing the use of his hands in "a freak tractor accident" that he claims to have taught himself to type with his feet.

  • That was great. This is why I subscribe here.

  • Why does anyone give a shit about what this man thinks?

  • He's pissing off the right people!

  • This is why these rich motherfuckers chose to donate to such causes. They don't see it as a donation, they think they're buying a museum to showcase whatever they want.

  • That actually might be better news as a repair might be a simple fix. It can't hurt to visit a repair shop and ask. It might save you a lot of money :-)

Another alternative might be buying a used/refurbished laptop comparable or even better than your current one.

  • Laptop batteries can often be replaced or even refilled by a competent repair guy. You might want to ask around locally to see if you have someone like that around.

  • If you're going to vote for them regardless of the candidate, there are no consequences for the party in the primaries.

  • This is adorably naïve. When has "the rules say" ever stopped that man from anything? When has it ever stopped the Republican Party?

Here's how it will happen if Trump survives and decides he wants another term:

    • The party will announce that he's the candidate.
    • The press will lose its mind, then bend over backward to have a debate about the issue once Fox and CBS point out that "well actually, the rule is for consecutive terms.
    • There will be protests, maybe a few people will die.
      • The victims will be branded "terrorists".
    • The Democrats will run some empty suit of a candidate (Harris, Newsom, Biden's corpse) that intends to change absolutely none of what Trump has wrought. They then demand that everyone vote for them to "save democracy ".
    • Trump wins handily again.

  • I love watching Zack in interviews, because I'm constantly shouting "YES!" at the screen. His point that wealth taxes aren't about raising revenue but about redistribution of that wealth is bang-on.
