  • FAA orders replacement of 58,500 radio altimeters for 5G safety

  • I remember learning about this issue years ago probably. IIRC the issue is that the altimeters operate out of band and so are to blame. This isn't a case of 5g being bad. Previously it hadn't mattered that they operated out of band because there was nothing using that portion of the spectrum.

  • I'm still left scratching my head here. What a nightmare. A child lurer remained on the loose while an innocent man was in jail convicted of possessing child pornography. Is this case why his lawyer is no longer practising law? Is the judge that sentenced him mortified? It's such a failure.

    Sand makes more of itself if it's provided with rocks and agitation. Ie wind blown sand make more sand as it erodes rocks.

  • I've exhausted my interest in this but

    IMO generational is -relevant or pertaining to a particular generation- but what was really meant in the meme is that this is something people have talked about for a long time, in fact for multiple generations, and generations are irrelevant to what's being discussed. Ancient would be a better adjective or time honoured, or age old. Zebra stripe debates aren't particular to gen alpha, gen z, millenials, or boomers.

    I just think generational is a trope in and of itself and is losing its meaning through over use.

    I didn't forget gen x I left them out on purpose to trigger them.
