    I do advise to not use the drive encryption, as it was bugged AF, it wouldn’t recognize my encryption password no matter how hard I tried

    Yeah, this is known issue. We are in process of updating GRUB and Calamares. Also migrate the default from LUKS1 to LUKS2. Hopefully that will resolve this issue.

    • Writefreely is the established option.
    • Wordpress has activitypub plugin.
    • Mastodon (or the like) is probably good enough.
    • Wafrn is tumblr like blogging.
    • Openwrite is the new kid in the block similiar to Writefreely.

  • Other than gnome, I don't think there is any DE that restrict theming. You can go with Plasma, if you want to use GTK theme then there is Budgie, Cinnamon and Xfce.

    Fun fact: Budgie on Solus used to be default using Plata-Noir which is material design inspired theme with pure black color scheme. It is not anymore becase the theme got unmaintained.
