  • not quite, I did every generally recommended approach, applying on their websites, messaging their recruiters, custom hand typed cover letters. In the past I never even needed to really apply because I was fielding so many calls from recruiters. This year's been a whole lotta nothing

  • sorry, yes. I did try applying to EU jobs, but didn't get anything there and friends over there told me things had been rough as well

  • I run the DB on the SSD and media on the hdds and haven't had any issues, but I don't have a huge library though. However, things are generally speedy. I thought the higher record sizes were recommended for media, not the DB? but if it worked for you, that's good

  • The Tale of Princess Kaguya was done in charcoal, which I really loved

    Redline was just fun

  • Id be willing to help

  • they do, you're just not gonna like what they propose. medical care cuts, cutting education, blaming foreigners for the fallout, transferring wealth to the upper 1%. they propose a lot

  • They've actually been doing a lot of innovative research around AI, they just done hype it up like companies that NEED AI to work for their business. Their Alpha fold was revolutionary for gene folding, for example. it's like 98ish percent accurate for a fraction of the compute time.

Now, as far as their customer products go, yeah, we haven't seen much lately, but I think their research arm is still doing a lot and they're publishing a lot of papers.

  • I follow along a lot in the chats and run the software. They did move everything to configuration a long time ago.

  • leave town, grow a beard and then shave it off, then live happily ever after

  • what do the logs say? you should be able to watch the container's logs when you try it and see what it says

  • "He's Wiz and Iiiiiii'mmm boomstick" was my first thought

  • We should also get rid of the Windows C++ Redistributable packages as well!

  • are you using named volumes or mounting a directory for the data directory in postgres? If you changed the docker compose and lost data, you may have been using an ephemeral volume.

  • I do, there a 2 or 3 I specifically signed up for. Otherwise no, if I signed up it's because I liked it and want more, but places that just send it to you? Not at all

  • I think a lot of it came from the dessert and surrounding areas. Namibia has a somewhat strange condition where the wind moves today the ocean then back inland throughout the day, so some of it I think is from the land. This was also near the famous beach area where the tide comes in very quickly and you may have seen vehicles trying to race the tide to get to higher ground. I think also near there was a salt processing facility. So, I'm not exactly sure, but it was pretty!

  • Here's one I took in Namibia!

    and another, how it looks

  • there are a lot of in ears with interchangeable tips. they typically come with S, M, and L sizes

  • You can have it integrated with grafana, and it can quickly search logs based on errors or alerts and link them to specific commits quite quickly. My previous company did that a year ago.
