  • That's because they were the star trek mods from reddit pre-apicalypse. Not having duplicate communities in Reddit and all power concentrated into one mod group or even worse one person is what attracted me to Lemmy in the first place. Not all, but from what I've seen, former mods from Reddit tend to have the entitlement of my community should be the only community.

  • It's done with your phone without line of sight or proximity of your car. The cars with built in security cameras, you can also remote view as well. I don't know of any fob with a TV screen on it.

  • We've also seen the problems with oil since the 1970's and continue to involve ourselves over there as world police. I'm done with that area of the world and being the police.   • I'm so tired of the middle east fighting, I say we give all of them nuclear weapons. They either learn to be civil with each other, or wipe each other off the face of the planet. I'm fine with either outcome. Mutually assured destruction has worked as a deterrent for nearly a century now

  • I thought the whole idea of getting back to the moon was to build a base (south pole with water), not have another camping trip (no water). Don't get me wrong the science from an equitorial landing would be great for the week they are there, but months and years at a permanent outpost would be that much better
