  • Had a long meeting get pushed back so it felt extra long. Great use of everyone's time that you talk about what you're going to do, just for everyone to get up and leave for the day

  • With ticket prices these days that's a steal compared to big shows. And most of that money will be going to the artists and organisers

  • It's what you make of it

  • The kids left a monster truck on the play equipment and I totally nae nae'd this stupid fuckass baby to give it back

  • There's a Youtube video on the baro series of games. They're terrible racing shovelware but they're a good way to get trading cards and other Steam perks to change themes and whatnot. You'd think people wouldn't care but there's a whole economy around skins...

  • Pro tip: if you're going to be late to work, might as well be 'leave the house after 9am' late. Had one of the best drives in this morning because the traffic was all gone.

Late morning from a gherked up night with no dinner and a late bedtime thanks to sick kids.

  • When we walked in there was a lot of people, which was a bit of a red flag. It wasn't until after we ordered someone came up to ask about their food because they'd been waiting half an hour. Perfect setup for a hellworld situation.

We might have to go up the road to Radio Mexico instead

  • Oh man, massive wait at Bay City Burrito tonight. Something must have gone wrong. Everyone else had the same idea as us; going to BCB then the dropout show. There were half hour waits for some people, so we ended up joining a procession of refunds as we had to leave for the show. The vibe was real sombre so I hope it's not a regular occurrence

  • Bay City Burrito in St Kilda has the most backrooms coded toilet I've been to. And that's saying something for the places you need to go to around here

  • This is like the best pizza in town. They didn't do much on social media and I'm not sure how things were run behind the scenes either

  • Having some fun with the Pocket 4 and these plush toy dogs we got in for a campaign. I hope everything comes out alright in the edit

  • The best pizza shop in town was closed today. I'm hoping it's just temporary because there have been no updates and nowhere else comesc close

  • Local politics has been quite interesting for the past few days

  • Classic cheeky late night followed by kids being difficult in the am. Catches me every time

  • There's a price update meeting I'm straight up keeping out of. We had a price increase a few months ago where it's quite complicated to have that reflected in a catalogue. We're doing it again and it seems like no one has learnt from last time. I don't need to be part of these conversations that retread the same ground.

This is what prompted people to ask if AI could reconcile the price differences between a spreadsheet and a PDF. The answer was no then and it's still no now

  • Also I managed to crack into a laptop I had trouble opening before. Turns out there were screws UNDER the rubber feet. I know companies do this sometimes but this is the first I encountered it myself, not great for repairability as they probably expect you to buy more rubber feet of them to replace the ones you ripped off.

Reminds me of the dungeons in Elden Ring where you'd get stuck and it turns out the rest of the area is UNDER one of the lifts.

  • Back in the office after the almost week off. Fortunately there isn't too much to catch up on. A lot of emails are just from head office Sharepoint. They don't seem to realise not everyone in the organisation needs to know about when the local cafe is doing 30c off coffee

  • Be sure to pick up a coffee from one of the coffee shops in the new area to support your fellow aussie zoners

  • I went for one ride a while ago and broke the pram out again recently. I think I overstated my fitness trying to do a 20km ride with the BUG
