Iirc this upgrade program has been around in some iteration for several years. It’s not even something Apple is pushy about. If anything it’s specifically catered to the people who are going to trade in for new devices at launch anyway. My BIL is often like this and has been on this upgrade plan for years for his phone. If a new model comes out he wants, he puts in for the upgrade, otherwise he keeps the one he already has.

I haven’t seen them. Voyager on mobile leaves out a lot of profile info, if that’s where he shared it. I don’t tend to go digging into other users outside of the reverse either. Regardless of his behavior elsewhere on the net, his behavior in this comm is…fucking whacked. The vitriol he so quickly dives into each time is repugnant. And the last few times I noticed it was specifically bc his posts got downvoted without comments/interaction. He spammed seething posts bc no one was interacting. Dude needs professional help of some kind.

We can ask the mods to escalate to an admin. I don’t think there’s a perfect way to oust this person, but it could maybe make things more difficult for him

I loved my rwb 86 700cc nighthawk, but Everytime it needed a new part it took months to research and find either the part, a successive part, or a different one that could fill the same role. Forget about it if it was body related, you might as well buy a new bike! When the electrical gremlins got it and it finally wouldn't start the last time, I couldn't bring myself to give a shit if it ever started again. By that point I just wanted a bike that would reliably work when I wanted to ride it.
