  • It was indeed out of storage but system data usage wasn’t budging. After some research, I found out there’s apparently a bug that prevents cache from being properly cleared.

  • American colleges/universities are just propaganda centers

    I feel like my public education from kindergarten thru high school was much more of a propaganda pipeline than my public university education. We didn’t do the pledge of allegiance in uni, nor were we taught the Revolutionary War 8 times over

    people come out dumber, more polarized and in great debt

    Dumber? No, they might come out more book-smart than street-smart but there are different kinds of intelligence and we need all of them. Polarized? That’s the entire country, regardless of education, and the media has much more to do with that than anything else. Great debt? Yes.

    Most don't even like their career

    I’m sure plenty of blue-collar workers hate their jobs too. It’s work, not leisure

  • I can assure you his intent was not to justify but rather to clear up a myth and help people

    He has never outright said “modern Windows sucks” but he has indirectly alluded to that being his opinion many times, e.g. in one livestream where he was setting up Windows 11, he opened up Task Manager and said “wow, there’s thousands of open handles when Windows is just idling and the user isn’t running anything… huh…”

    He is of the opinion that Windows 11 is trying to force people to throw away perfectly good machines because of the stupid TPM requirement, as you can tell by his videos from a few months ago

    He has also revealed multiple times that he daily drives macOS and only uses Windows (in a VM) when absolutely necessary

  • I have an opinion about Bill Burr in particular. I was a faithful listener of his podcast for many years but I stopped a couple months ago because it was getting extremely repetitive. Every episode, he would go on the same rant about how billionaires are the source of most of America’s problems - which is something I wholeheartedly agree with, but I listened to his podcast for a brief comedic escape from the world, not for the same political discussions that pop up everywhere else.

    So when I heard he accepted a direct payment of a huge sum of money from the very people he’s constantly argued are the #1 enemies, I felt surprised and betrayed. I just don’t believe he’s in a position to take the “soft power” stance when he’s receiving money from the very royal family that’s the cause of so many human rights issues in that country. Not gonna be supporting any of his work anymore.

  • Can’t tell if this is a sarcastic question or not but opposing the government with guns is a delusion held by conservatives who think their AR-15s have a chance against a government with drones, tanks, etc. That belief was true when the Bill of Rights was written and the military just had muskets and a couple cannons but anyone who believes that now is insane

    Plus, our police shoot unarmed people and get away with it, what do you think is gonna happen if they see you open carrying?
