  • Odd, I could have sworn I subscribed at some point, or maybe I tried and it didn't appear. Is this like the Mastodon/Misskey thing where you have to manually type in the URL to follow/subscribe & discover it? What does it mean if it says Pending forever?

  • Try several days lmao compare and contrast my lemmy.ml profile with my lemmygrad.ml profile

    For some reason crazypeople.online gets lemmygrad but not vice-versa. Lemdro.id also has its own federation issues so I have no clue what's going on

    At this point I'm holding off until I get my own instance with Photon UI set up. I like how it handles tags. Makes it easy to browse articles on a particular date in history with one click across diff accounts (keeping posts sorted into separate RSS feeds)

  • i've had to talk to australians a lot recently & it makes me really mad so it was refreshing that coworker absolutely chudded out post-zoom & started coming up with theories for why they are innately evil & asked me if something bad happened to people's brains in europe. not quite the reality but i didnt push back on that. it's just frustrating the way they act like they're a sovereign nation while complaining about having no, you know, sovereignty, & it affecting all their day-to-day decisions

  • I think it's smart from a lateral industrial development perspective (not the bundle of sticks every-industry-interest-at-war method that leads to infini-financialization) because it will be easier for "developing" (love the term grammatically but politically it is very fraught, moving on~) partner states to build out their EV & battery factories without worrying about scarcity. Industrial development is very powerful anti-corruption strategy, you can't just create additional risks for the corrupt in areas that truly lack opportunities. More factories = better political system to work with + more stability meaning easier skill transfer (nobody wants to get kidnapped bruh)

    Wow, I have never seen anyone saying "the new CIA weed isn't strong enough". To veer from my normal weed boasting I will say this horrifies me. I smoked an entire preroll like 5 years ago & got so scared I stayed up most of the night hiding in the park because I didn't want to look at anyone on the way out.

    Could this be due to too much raw THC & not enough other shit? I don't want to be superstititous
