  • I mean yeah it's a BBT spin-off and I think you can't really get as much enjoyment out of it if you don't have that context. Doesn't require the full BBT universe context tho luckily so no need to watch Young Sheldorf/Georgie & Mandy first.Chuck Lorre just has so much "never let them know your next move" energy that I'm all about honestly.

  • Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Sadly only 1 episode per week which I didn’t realize initially so I’ll have to wait until late September sadly.I am not going to go on a rant about this I promise.

  • Don't worry, it's natural. People just don't care about what you post. No matter how good or bad, you shout into the void, and the void doesn't care. Cherish the interactions/updoots you do get, but expect nothing.

  • I was like wtf are you talking about and only now spotted the typo, imma fix it and run away in shame for a few days, thanks

  • Shitty Movie Details @lemmy.world

In Die Hard 3 they need to solve the riddle "21 out of 42" referring to the 21st president. However, there are 47 presidents, so they could never have solved this riddle.

  • For most players right now, Elytra is installed and may be running in the background, but it is not yet enforcing anti-cheat protections.

Neat, so it’s safe to assume this stuff is already reporting stuff back to HQ. Sure that’s just speculation, but why else would you run a program on your players' PCs if it isn’t doing anything yet. Happy to be proven wrong but it’s sus.

  • That’s Nic Cage after all, man deserves some respect. The other bloke is just Greenzo, who cares about that lunatic

  • Most important question. I’ve ate caramel ranging from melts in your mouth to your teeth explode and the consistency is a huge factor in the enjoyment.

  • I'm now imagining that bit from Life Larry and the pursuit of unhappiness with the declaration of independence and Larry rants against Trump for 10 mins straight. Actually that would be really entertaining

  • You went to MITI went to the University of PotatoWe are not the same

  • I'll supply the map. As a recent incident shows, we can't actually rely on them to provide maps that make sense.

  • Somebody please get this man to the intensive fart unit.

  • Sure, he can absolutely have it. IF he can point to Greenland on an unmarked map within 1 second.

  • it's what it's. what'cha gonna do eh...

  • Yeah it's a recent bug. Well not really recent, but it's accelerated recently. We call the bug "capitalism". There is already a known fix, but it's very difficult to implement, so much so, that we accept living with this bug instead of fixing it.If you want to know how anyway here's what to do: Gather as many working people as you can, not just people you know, but hundreds of thousands of them, maybe even millions. Get them to agree to not go to work for 10 straight days. Not call in sick, just not go to work. This will give us all the power to dismantle the bug, and it has in small scales already been proven to work. But there's a cost, a self sacrifice necessary. So it's unlikely we'll see this bug fixed anytime soon.

  • How Americans working 27 hours per day for $8 per month look at you when you suggest something that would benefit them

  • The job is killing my mum and idk how to help her. Sadly because she doesn’t have education she can’t get any high paying jobs so she has just been doing warehouse work the past 10 years. Although she works in production they make her do warehouse as well. she’s physically exhausted every day, has nightmares and tells me she’s sometimes afraid to fall asleep…And I feel so helpless…I mean if I as a experienced dev can’t even find a job anymore, what luck does she have of finding smth new.

The police can't catch you if you're a pedo and a professional parkour athlete

  • PJOTR, this is important, listen closely. I need spider nudes. Don't ask why. $20k if you can get me spidey's cock flapping about. Make that $50k. Danit, now go. GO!

  • Sometimes you gotta be the change you want to see in the world ;)

  • I don't know where my Linux journey takes me next yet, but I only half way agree with this post. Arch is not quite as bad as this post makes it out to be, but there's definitely always a bit of russian roulette involved in whether your system boots tomorrow or not (most of the time it does).I just had my EndeavourOS (which is just a thin layer on top of Arch) kill itself and some weird-ass hyperspecific flags in the initrd build process brought it back to life.Tho in the ~10 years of using arch now I'd say it was still preferable to the extremely stable experience, and I don't think recommending Debian Stable is such a good idea either.Yeah I could unfuck my EOS system with a bit of trickery, but once you get a good franken debian going, when that thing breaks there's no rescue.I've had some stuff on Arch break after an upgrade too because some config variable names changed. I rember when I had KDE with i3 going and one day the desktop was gone. Was just because the variable names in KDE had changed and a quick i3 config change was all that was needed.Having to selectively install packages from other sources because the main repo will keep you on a too outdated version for 6 months is just not a viable idea in today's world.

There are luckily more than just these 2 options.
