People on social media are calling for Elon to do something to make his cars safer in this situation (??). People on social media are getting mad that bystanders were filming instead of trying to ram the gunman with their vehicle. The idea that this problem comes from a systemic issue, rather than a lack of courage or initiative from victims, is completely alien. People aren't even thinking to blame lack of police or response times. It's just pure "you were in a shoot out and you didn't try to John Wick the gunman? what's wrong with you?" Complete diffusion of responsibility by anyone, not the state, not the security apparatus, not even the capitalist property owners. We have been conditioned to blame no one but ourselves.
